There are much more places where you can enjoy skiing in Europe´s Alps. I offer some ski locations I consider the best, apart from those that I described in the previous post. They are a great place for everyone’s ski holidays!

Folgarida(Italy)
It has 50km of downhill skiing with 52 individual pistes because it is part of the Italian Marivella Ski Area. It is perfect for beginners and it is highly rated by snowboarders.

Folgarida is peaceful and small where people can enjoy skiing. So, if you're looking for a family holiday in a huge ski area with stunning landscape and a relaxed atmosphere, Folgarida is a suitable ski resort for you.

Interlaken(Switzerland)
For those seeking the most adventure Interlaken has to offer it. This ski resort is really romantic. Every season the town is fascinating. Interlaken is a famous spot since the 19th century when Lord Byron and many others referred to its beauty.

The Jungfrau Mountain is the highest peak in the resort and every ski professionals challenge the mountain.

Chamonix(France)
This resort is the oldest in France. It offers 3 big ski areas apt for skiers at all levels: the Brévent/Flégère, the Grands Montets and the Balme Area. There are also three smaller valley ski areas for children or beginners. It is located at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif.

Skiing Europe (Part I)

There is no better experience than skiing in Europe, particularly in Europe´s Alps. This belt of mountain chains extends from Slovenia in the east clear across the heart of Europe to France and there are hundreds of ski resorts of stunning beauty, size and diversity terrains to ski. The mountains in Europe are simply big, rugged, inspiring and soaring. A true paradise for skiing lovers.

If you want to feel an unforgettable skiing experience in Europe and taste many different cultures( Austro-German, Swiss-German, French-German, French and Italian), start packaging your ski equipment and put your boots on. I have selected the best European places for a desirable ski trip.

Tignes(France)
This ski area is appealing due to its wide terrain completely snowed. Lots of accommodation offered close to the slopes and good snow during long seasons. Tignes and Val d'Isère together form the enormous Espace Killy. This is an incredible winter sport recreation playground where skiers and boarders love to go.

Les Deux Alpes(France)
This area is really well-known because of the winter and summer seasons. Winter is perfect for freeride skiing and the summer comes alive with a worldwide famous boardpark on the glacier attracting those skiers who love freestyle.

Nowhere else in the French Alps has such a variety of clubs, pubs, and après-ski fun. Nights out are fabulous and Les Deux Alpes is lively with varied activity and great skiing the whole day.

Zell Am See(Austria)
It offers about 80 miles of local slopes, with beginner, intermediate and advanced categories all well represented. Although Zell am See is an unusual ski resort it has charming views down to the lake. It is situated in the province of Salzburg and it is surrounded of glacier mountains.

Italian Flavor

“All roads lead to Rome”. Italy is one of the most universally desirable countries in the world. There is more than one reason which makes people from all over the world want to visit it. However, when visiting Rome, don´t forget to taste the famous Italian ice-cream, gelato.

They are all made with real fruits and ingredients. You must go to Italian gelaterias, where you can buy the frozen treat gelato and experience the best refrigerated sensations. Roman ice-cream is also well-known for its high ly creamy taste and soft texture.

History
There are two possible theories of how Gelato was first created. The first one claims that Emperor Nero started this dessert in the ancient Rome. Nero ordered his slaves to look for snow and they mixed it with honey to make a dessert. Besides, he added fruits, leaves and spices to the mixture.
The second theory suggest that the adventurer Marco Polo brought it from the Far East to Europe. It was said that Asian citizens used this recipe from water ice.

Gelato
Great food, great art, Rome has something for everything. There are a wide variety of flavors for everyone´s taste. There is ice-cream in all its forms and you will find a big range of ice creams served in cups or cons of varying sizes.

Cioccolato is regular chocolate and you will find it in nearly endless variations. From dark chocolate lovers to milk-chocolate fans. You will pair your gelato with fruits, creams, nuts and even liquors.

There are many places where you can eat good ice-cream, besides the “Eat, Pray, Love” one, San Crispino. When in Rome “eat as the Romans do”.

Seville Spring Fair

Every April the Spanish city of Seville gets decked out to host “La Feria de Abril” . This fair opens up Seville to the world each year. Six days of partying, sevillanas, horses, carriages and tapas which give this colourful Andalusian fest that has a strong flamenco flavor worldwide known.

Origins
It dates back to 1846 and it was originally a livestock fair where farming tools and cattle were sold and bought.

Traditionally, the casetas looked like stables and few people owed them. Some of these casetas belong to well-known families from Andalusia, some to groups of friends, clubs or associations and political parties.

The fried-fish dinner is held on the first day of the fair shortly before the lighting up of the Portada and all the streets in the fairground, which is full of rows of casetas.

The fair generally begins two weeks after Easter Holy Week and this led the people of Seville to give this fest a religious connotation.

Seville Flavor
What makes the fair what it is, is its lively atmosphere throughout the day. The party starts early in the morning with the horse parade, followed by a good lunch and bullfights. Everybody is on a horseback or riding in horse carriages to La Maestranza, where the bullfighters and breeders meet.

At nights, party is still ahead women dancing in the sevillanas vibrant dresses and people singing flamenco while eating finger food and drinking wine and sherry until early in the morning.

Twenty-four hours a day of fun and too much enjoyment to celebrate the spring arrival in such a cheerful way. ¡Viva Sevilla, olé!
